Studio Practice

In my studio, I work slowly and intentionally — using stitch, texture, and natural materials to explore care, identity, and the quiet joy of everyday life. Rooted in the principles of slow making, my practice embraces repetition and reflection as ways to reconnect with self and place. Influenced by the relaxation response and self-compassion theory, I see the act of stitching as both meditative and restorative — a gentle pause in a world that often asks too much, especially of carers. Through each thread and layer, I seek to hold space for softness, healing, and the unfolding of personal stories. My work is grounded in lived experience and in the belief that creative process can be both a form of care and a quiet resistance.
Practice Slow Stitch
Slow stitch is a gentle, meditative textile practice rooted in presence and process. It invites us to slow down, notice, and connect — with ourselves, with the materials in our hands, and with the quiet stories that emerge as we work

Invisible Existence
As we navigate the streets of Pontypridd in our daily routines, it's easy to overlook the architectural treasures that surround us.

Beyond the Veil
Beyond the veil is a 3D textile art piece exploring the connection I have with my family on this side and the otherside of the veil.
